Shore Drive Pool House

Shore Drive Pool House
This modern pool house complements a larger residential project on Shore Drive in Bedford, offering a purpose-built oasis for leisure, socializing, and retreat. Small in scale but generous in expression, the design is a study in restraint—simple lines, robust materials, and seamless integration with the surrounding garden and poolscape.
The structure opens entirely to the pool terrace via wide sliding glass doors, blurring the boundary between interior and exterior. The interiors are bright and minimal, defined by pale woods, integrated lighting, and clean detailing that emphasizes the calm, airy atmosphere.
Functional zones are tucked into the plan efficiently—storage, a changing room, and a kitchenette discreetly occupy one edge, while the open sitting area is designed for lounging and gathering. Expanses of glass frame views of water and sky, while outdoor materials continue inside, creating a strong sense of cohesion. In its simplicity, the pool house embodies a refined sense of place: informal, inviting, and attuned to summer living.
